2011 F20 116i Sport Drivetrain error

Dear All,

My 2011 F20 116i sport indicated a drivetrain error today. No other warning lights and the car has no other issues.
Does anyone have any ideas and can any one recommend an independent mechanic (North / North West London), who could look at the car?

Hi mate,

I had this recently and took it to a friend who ran a diagnostic check and it said that there was a blockage on the turbo coolant pump. We took the cap off of the expansion tank and noticed that the coolant wasn't coming up straight away, had a fiddle with the coolant pipes (give them a squeeze etc.) and the coolant started to fill the expansion tank. Put the cap back on cleared the code, hasn't come back since.

I think there might have been an airlock somewhere in the pipes, that was causing this.
