new user
My new car is built but i am not getting it until the 10 april. Its a 1.6i petrol sport in mineral white.
Not had a BMW before.Looking forward to it ,Having to give up my audi soft top as i need 5 seats.I looked at the A3 but the whole family wanted the 1 series as we all agreed the audi looked boring. Cant understand why people come on these pages and run the looks of the car down...looks great to me. |

Welcome aboard!
You made a good choice, a genuine, rear wheel drive, driver's car. I think that most people who have complained about the looks of the car have done so just by looking at the original press photos. To appreciate this car you have to see it in the metal, the three dimensions of the nose and the continuation of the lines into the grill can’t be seen on some images. I think the F20 follows a trend of recent BMWs, the first time you see them they look different and it can take you a while to get your head around it, but then it really grows on you. It is basic human nature to attack something you don’t understand, or a group that you do not belong to or are jealous of. Those of us in the know can just quietly sit back, appreciate our cars, be comfortable that we do not need the approval of others to validate our decisions and just give a knowing nod to other F20 drivers we see out on the roads. Enjoy your car!

Will try to make some new pics tomorrow. Still like my car a lot & happy with the colour. A colleague of mine ordered his 116d ED today in Mineralweiß. I wanted to have something unique .
