Well it's at stock again. No matter the map, I kept getting misfires under high load. Changed the spark plugs but no help, diagnosed it and was a fuel problem. I assume my HPFP is not up to the task, oddly not one hickup under full load (really trashing it) at stock map. So it's back at stock, waiting for it to completely fail so I can have it replaced under warranty.
That is, if it really is the HPFP... Don't really understand Misfires were at 5500rpm in 7th. Too bad it's at stock it now feels quite slower after having driven it mapped. |

Update: 116i with BR-performance
So I did my first 1500km with the tuning. Went on wintersport with 4 persons(adults) and luggage. The car really impresses on power and comfort now its tuned while its still economical with 1 on liter on 12 km(several high speed runs). I'm glad its the temperatures are steady (110 Celsius on cooling water, and 120 on Oil. |

I tried to calculate from my OBD data but the resolution is not good enough - so yes, the 11sec is an estimate based on the footage.
Ill borrow a vbox and try again. 9.3 is quick! Whats the horsepower on your car?

Anyone heard of Celtic Tuning and their remaps? They have a reseller close to were I live. And I'm a bit interested in doing it.

Darkhold
How has the flash tune been for you so far? I read somewhere you have had several flashes to get it right - what has been the problem(s)?

Pretty sure Darkhold's ecu tuning efforts on the M135i failed badly !! But Im not sure !! Its very clear if you want to push the envelope on boost, larger turbos, simple logging with mobile app support and refined customisation of a tune the JB4 is the best on the market .

Update: 116i with BR-performance tuning
The car did great during my wintersport Holliday trip. Because of my wintertyres i didn't run faster than 235 km/h. I didn't have any problems at all. It's still economical and runs great through the gears. Downside: It's pretty extreme. You have to be gentle with the throttle otherwise it will downshift and spool up the turbo and run for it ;-) |

Went to ms-chiptuning the other day with my 116i and am really loving it.
Car feels so quick, for only a stage 1 car it really goes ) Made a video the other day, shifted a bit to early in each gear so I guess there is still some time in it |

Just the fact that the car can do 260 is a sign of a considerably power boost. My stock 116i can not do more than 209 (GPS), but it can do it in fourth, fifth and sixth gear.
Since the power increase needed to increase the top speed is roughly proportional to the change of top speed to the third power. A 10 percent increase in top speed requires 33 percent more power. |

Quite definitely, provided you peck the rev. limiter every time anyway.
I mean you might find it useful to either ease the throttle when declutching (to preserve those parts) or pick the benefit of going flat out - otherwise you seem to torture both the engine and the clutch just for nothing (the arm jumps but the car does not). |

Mustn't you be able to gain more speed with the same power in lower gear? I mean I guess the fourth hits the rev. limit, the sixth may really exhaust the engine, but the fifth must be the speed limiter's victim then. |

It is interesting to see that the 3 series can go faster with a bigger frontal area and the same engine. Is has significantly less aero drag. |
