My wife and I have been going there since the 70s and I've never heard it called Black Rock Beach. I just looked it up on The Google and it turns out that's the name for it. It's so fun learning something new everyday.

This is our go-to place to just go kick back. Love it.

For those thinking about going, the Kaanapali Beach Hotel is really nice if you no longer want the over-the-top beach resort scene. We did that for many years and our kids were "resort rats" and we had the best times. Now, we are looking for a perfect location that is toned down a bit. Kaanapali Beach Hotel is perfect, especially if you get a beachfront room. Their new restaurant is simply amazing. We were there for a week last fall. Can't wait to go back.
