I expect it will be a good game. Most "experts" expect the Gators to win easily and underrate our defense because of departures. But it should be a great defense again this year (as will UF). Both teams have suspect O-Lines and clearly we need to solve QB play. I'd rather go into it with everyone underestimating us than overestimating us like last year vs. LSU. Win or lose we'd better play with more conviction than last year.

There may be some bumps in the short term due to inexperience and OL, but happy with our QB1 pick, Jarren Williams. Now if only the OL can play close to respectably... Starting a true freshman no other major program recruited at LT is concerning. Stacy Searels really did a poor job developing some of the more highly touted guys brought in over the past couple of years, the players didn’t / don’t want it enough, or both. Need to purge more deadwood, I think.

My work department has 2 Noles, 2 Canes (1 didn't go to the U) and 3 Gators. The smack talking was in full force today and some bets were put on the line. Love the in-state rivalries!

We've finally made it to the college football season! Here are some rules to live by during the season:

1 - I will NOT attend ANYTHING past 11am on Saturdays unless you have NCAA football on your television.
1a - Televisions must be a minimum of 55" diagonal with a minimum resolution of 1080p. Events containing ultra-high definition televisions and seating with direct line of sight of said television will take priority over those events that do not.
1b - Events broadcasting (insert your team here) football take priority over all other events, regardless of TV size and definition.
2 - I will be high strung, loud, and obnoxious if you are around me while (insert your team here) is playing. Things may/may not be thrown. If any of your belongings are damaged I will repair/replace them, but I will not care until after the post-game analysis.
3 - I will wear (insert team colors here) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
4 - Events such as weddings, wedding showers, and baby showers are for bye weeks ONLY. It's not my fault you are starting your married/family life and proving to everyone that you are a horrible planner. I won't be there but I will wish you the best of luck as soon as the game is over or the post game show are over.

Well overall can't be too unhappy with first half. OL is as scary as expected and R-FR QB took a couple of avoidable sacks. Plus some sloppy tackling on D and less pressure on Gators QB than I expected, but... QB is poised and efficient, nice last drive before the half, +2 TO and we have the lead. Need to brace for FL offense in second half and play hard for the full game. Great game so far.

Sucks to lose but it was a great game. We gave it away with fumbled punt and missed chip shot FG. Gators did their best to give it back but we couldn’t get it done at the end. Team should improve the rest of the way. OL needs some major work. Gators also have some work to do on both sides of the ball.
