Star Wars Galaxy's Edge - Prepare to spend thousands

So based on the reviews if you want to enjoy the whole experience with your family it will cost $1800 plus. Parking is $25 plus general admission into Disneyland $150. You have to reserve a 4 hour window at Galaxy's edge and to build your own light saber is $200 plus tax. Building your own droid is $100. Definitely a luxury low income or even middle class families will struggle to afford. Not to mention food not cheap lol. How much would you be willing to spend at Disneyland?

Star Wars Opening Day 05/31. Insane Crowds! Standing room only.

Video of Millennium Falcon Ride

Build your own droid ($100 not including personality card for $12.99 each and available assessories. Bag sold separately.

Star Wars at night, different vibe.

Ever read the book NOS4A2 or watch the show? Disneyland is the real life version of "Christmasland". Except instead of slowly sucking up your life force they suck up your money.

I'm going, and when the hotel opens up I'm going again

I'm not a big spender but my kids like it, my wife likes it too so why not?

Maybe Mrs Miller will wear princes laah outfit for me? (Kids in Separate hotel rooms) of course, catching us like that would be years of therapy for the cubs

born in 82, wasn't raised with Star Wars but still think it's cool

The light saber building event and the millennium falcon attraction are cool. At least the later is "free"

Do a search on YouTube for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. Lots of videos, like going there for free. You'll need the whole phrase in the search so as not to get results for Samsung Galaxy Edge lol.

both USA Disney parks will have (Star Wars)

California just opened, FL later this summer, Orlando will get a themed hotel 2020? (starship) rooms/cabins, was told from the hotel to the park they'll have shuttles that keep the immersive part going, staff is in on it playing along too

why do I know this?

We go to Orlando for cheap, jetblue BOS-MCO easily sub $100 per ticket, we go every year or so

Off topic:
Family of 5 @ Panera Bread costs me nearly $100, how the F is sandwiches n soup cost me $100?

Lol yeah Panera is expensive. Yeah the staff or "cast members" never break character. If you ask them where the rest rooms are they don't know what you're talking about. You have to use the right terminology. Also the light saber attraction is called the scrap yard as it is clandestine since the first order is in control at least at that part of the park vs the resistance. There's no or limited signage so you have to find your way around the place by exploring.

Yeah it is a lot of money. My friend knows someone who's one of the cast members and is getting his entire family in for free. Damn that is awesome! It is a cool experience hangout out on the flight deck of the millenium falcon and then flying the thing on a mission. (Video below is just a youtube video I found not my friend)

Star Wars food is on point, Cantina looks awesome and serves alcohol.

There are additional costs for some of the attractions and any souvenirs + food and drink. Can easily add up to hundreds of dollars, though I guess that's true everywhere in the park. Though you'll want to build your own light saber and droid which like I said earlier $$$ and not included in annual pass. Though it is pretty cool how the droid responds to various areas of the park via blu tooth.

They don't have one in Sydney? Seems like a huge oversight, I think they have one in China, Hong Kong and Japan isn't that pretty close to you? I would think they should be in every first world country by now.

We’ve got nothing down here like that mate, not the population to support it. We have a couple of small theme parks up on the Gold Coast, none of which are Disney.

China, Hong Kong and Japan are “only” about a 10 hour flight away so maybe not quite as close as you may think
