125i N20 Engine vs N20 in other models

I have been looking for information on the 125I motor so that I can do some mods in the future perhaps and wanted to get an idea of power for the various stages of tune before I begin.

Apparently the N2O motor which is found in various BMWs has 2 main versions.

One of them has a compression ratio of 11.0, one of them is 10.0.

The 10.0 being the motor (in the 125} with slightly better pistons.

Does this mean, given the only other difference is an ecu_we can get 328 power levels?

Any first hand knowledge of how your car responded to any tune or modifications.

Has the motor been pretty reliable otherwise? The gearbox so far is silky smooth.. And strong for an 8 speed auto.

Got heaps of tuning experience in Vw (golf r) and Japanese cars.. But none in BMW so far.
