I think the more serial components of relationship failure(s) is/are poor communication, lack of shared values and society's changing perspective on the definition of "relationship." Looks matter, but they matter far lass than the aforementioned.

Well, it goes beyond weight, but it's probably the most common one. I've heard others, often from women. Like she fell in love with the outgoing, outdoorsy guy who now just stays at home and plays video games. The go getter whose get up and go got up and went and now they are settled in a dead end job. Or even just staying the same 24 year old as the other partner pressed on, emotionally stunted.

Although a few of those are why I ended up single a few years back.

LOL I called my dad out on this last time I saw him in person. He was bitching about my step mom and I asked him if he was 5 months pregnant. Dude is retired and has a full gym in his basement, no excuses.

I've dated thick and skinny....the first ex-wife gave up on life and blew up....and still growing to this day. I don't base my attraction off body type. The thicker girls that I have dated had great personalities or held themselves in such a way that they looked great. I have never dated an unattractive person. I can find any body type attractive aside from BBW or SSBBW. I say this as before I started going to the gym, I didn't really place much focus on body type; it was personality and intellect. Now that I work as hard as I do on how I look, I couldn't date anyone who just doesn't care about how they look. It may be shallow, but I guess the point I am making is that what a person is focused on creates the basis of what they expect from a partner.

Now with this being said, if I were married to someone and they gained weight, it wouldn't be a deal breaker unless they were to just give up completely.

Looks are a great indicator of what a person places focus on, but damn near every woman that I have dated; seems to give up after they feel like they have "secured" me. Current girlfriend is the only exception to this.

LOL he has all of that. Multi-stations, ab bench, bench, a treadmill, a rower, even has the select-tec barbells that I had to drop $400 on because he wouldn't give me the ones collecting dust in his basement. And there is the rub. Its not just weight gain and being shallow, that shit shows disrespect and a lack of commitment. That is why I expanded it in my previous post to other factors. That is why you always throw in that "health issues aside" caveat. If someone stopped being a hardbody because they threw their knee out that is one thing. If someone stopped being a hardbody because they just decided to sit on their ass at home all day and eat shit, that is another.

Those things are either: a. the result of a personality change or b. the original person was a lie. Either way, Im not obligated to someone who started the relationship on a lie or has changed on me, and I wouldn't expect them to be obligated to me if I did either.

Ideally you find someone who is doing it "for themselves" and youre just benefitting from it. Someone who puts work in to better themselves is going to be the more desirable person for a myriad of reasons.

Completely depends on frame. I know a body builder (my former admin) who is 5' even, 00 size waist and has 375 cc and she looks phenomenal. I know a 5'10 average build woman with 600cc and she could stay or go larger. Also depends if over tissue, under, silicone versus saline, lift or no lift blah blah.

Interesting comments. I'm definitely in the camp of any chest, so long as the behind is in order. And not fussed by skinny/large, so long as they take care of themselves.

Right now though, I'm definitely the one in my relationship who's let themself go. I've put on about 8kg and lost a bunch of muscle and fitness since the start of our relationship. Partly due to rubbish mental health, partly laziness, partly kids. She's slimmer than when we met. ...but I'm much fitter and stronger than she is still, for what it's worth. I certainly wouldn't be put off her of she put on weight.

I like it pure and natural at the body, I mean, c'mon, artificial boobs may have their attraction but not for me. Sooner or later the gravitiy is getting us all. If you got saggy boobs presented, you have to deal with it, when you are not coincidentally Jason Statham with a (for me) very cool body.
Sometimes every body is going down a bit and I am inbetween far enough to accept my weak spots and little problem zones. Fair enough that the opposite side should have the same privileg.

See now my girlfriend says that isnt true. She hates bras and only wears them, frankly, to cover nips on thin shirts. I keep saying maybe she needs a fitting with a different cup size and she tells me no the ABCD is the cup size and its not relative to body size.

But Ive also heard the same as you said. And hearsay is all Ive got. Either way I keep trying to get her to get a fitting because the pasties look funny (that is what she has gone to using under thin shirts).
