M Performance to pimp your F20 in a discreet manner

Guys, I searched the BMW.com site for goodies for the F20 and look what I found:
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/acc...ies_5door.html

- M Performance double exhaust pipe finisher in chrome for 116d, 118d and 120d
- Chip tuning including a larger intercooler for 120d. Increase from 184 -> 200 hp and from 380 Nm -> 420 Nm.

Run to your dealer!
Here is the sexy tailpipe:

If i buy a F20-120d these will be the only extras i will buy.

The 120d does 0-100Km in 7.2s, with that powerKit will it go under 7s ? 6.9s?

For the double exhaust you need to have bought the M sport trim, well personnly i don't see that double exhaust fitting in the previous bumper with one exhaust.

Have you booked this to your 120d? I'm going to order but I have to cut bigger holes for the exhaust. Or is there some other rear diffuser with holes for dual exhaust for example for the 125d. Or must cars without M-sport pack. replace the whole bumper????

If you have a boost in HP you must have impact in acceleration, right ? since HP is related with torque and there's a boost from 380Nm->480Nm

Thanks Jason!

Also unlike the old Performance Parts, M Performance exterior parts are designed to complement the M Sport package. The front splitter and lip simply attach to the M Sport front bumper while the rear diffuser simply replaces the rear diffuser of the M Sport package. No whole replacements of bumpers required any longer. This will be a feature of all exterior M Performance parts for all BMW models.
They will fit in cars with the M Sport pack.

Found this, dont know how reliable is this source...
http://www.speeddoctor.net/2012/bmw-...nce-power-kit/

In this way, the peak output of the 4-cylinder diesel engine is raised from 184 bhp to 200 bhp. Maximum torque, available from just 1750rpm, is increased to 420 Nm. The most important outcome of this increase in power is an optimisation of acceleration figures in all models. This is something the driver can clearly feel, including an increase in acceleration to 100 km/h of up to 1.0 seconds. However, this enhanced driving pleasure has no effect whatsoever on the exemplary fuel consumption and CO2 emission figures of the respective models in the EU test cycle. What is more, the high quality standard of the BMW M Performance Power Kit guarantees unlimited reliability of the engine, so the warranty terms for vehicles in which it is installed remain valid as before.
1sec less and no effect in consumption.... hard to believe

The boost is not that big (380=>420Nm). And we are already talking of a 7s car...

This boost can mean an improve in 3rd or 4th gear from 80-120kmh maybe.

This is what bmw says:

BMW M Performance power kit for BMW 120d
Equipment for the fast lane: Software and hardware components for your BMW 120d for even better performance – now and in the long term. Includes enlarged air coolers, perfect for modified engines, which have higher thermic requirements. Includes M Performance lettering for the side skirts.
improved performance from 135kW/380 Nm to 147 kW/420 Nm*, +5km/h V max
improved response and more power delivery
continues to fulfil the quality and warranty standards
fuel consumption and CO2 emissions remain unchanged
* Maximum torque depends on gear selected
Included in delivery: Engine control device including latest engine data, air coolers, BMW M Performance kit aluminium plaque, M Performance lettering for the side skirts

Hey think we need to cut larger space for the exhaust, Hartge has dual exhaust on the program and they have cut into the bumper, see photos.

I did not ask specific about this. But the offer I got was so high (NOK 6297) that a new diffusor might have been included.
I'll check it out.

By the way:
This is offered only for the diesels, not for the petrol cars (so far).
