B48 can take how much power without forged internal?

I got a F20 120i which is 184hp version and has different piston with 125i.

I'm looking a safe and economic way to upgrade it to 250hp or more.

Could you please share your experience with me like the configuration when blow up your B48, horse power, psi, jb4 map* anything like that

thanks in advance

1.5 times the original output is normally a safe bet. Without investigating into detail of design, generally the designer will put a 1.5 times safety factor into their design.

I asked some local factory who has experience with turning B48. they suggest not higher than 240hp for 120i and with forged interior can be reach to 380hp.

That engine two versions with 187 Hp: the N20 and B48.
I use Venturatuning in my F30 330e and now 314Hp.
For the N20 120i will get 245 and the B48 252 Hp
You have to ask them quote.

Hey!

I've got a 2019 120I with the B48 engine.

I used a company called BSR tuning - and they claim to have given me 286hp just from the tuning software. And it feels like it.

Furthermore i've got the KN oem replacement air filter intake, and i've fitted the M140i M-Performance exhaust system.
