Fire extinguisher

Hello guys,

Is there a way to fit a third-party fire extinguisher under the seat (I have the Sport Line seats) instead of buying the BMW one? Is there retrofit bracket or something like that?

What fire extinguisher do you have?

EDIT: I guess, this is the part I should get (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...5&hl=1&lang=en), but how can I fit it? Should I remove the passenger seat first?

At least, does anyone know where can I get those parts (except from BMW dealers)?

In Greece you can try speed and style (Nikos imports BMW spare parts at a bit lower prices, http://www.speedandstyle.gr/).

Online you can try ebay, or http://www.online-teile.com/bmw/ or http://www.individual-cars.com/en/home.html or http://www.bmminiparts.com/

No, I just couldn't find a proper location for my extinguisher in the luggage area... (I wish the battery wasn't there)

But apart from that, in terms of safety, I think a fire extinguisher should be inside the cabin anyway (and not in the trunk).

Use a sticky velcro tape on the extinguisher body and strap it to your luggage compartment sidewall linner. That's what i have done! And it stays there for ever!
