Is it a new car you purchased or used?
If used, I wonder if the wheels have been previously refurbished which can have problems.. Another possible cause is if you use a pressure washer to clean the wheels as what can start as a small stone chip can also develop into the issues you mentioned if water (at high pressure) is penetrating the damaged clear coat?

I'm experiencing a similar issue where my resprayed rims are "peeling".
Dealer uses a external rim specialist. I believe its bad prep before spraying. I'm having them done for a third time... Really frustrating |

Hi there, yes I did purchase the car used privately from the first owner and the car is immaculate and has all original paintwork on the body and wheels? I have had the car for three months and the wheels were like this when I got it, I just don't want it to get any worse. I don't use a pressure washer myself on the car.
Thanks for your comments. |
