pre lci F20 118i

car had xenon headlights from factory but I am not sure if one of the owners had change the headlights to a newer one or not.

Sure! If you actually mean your xenon lights don't work, they should be really old, worn off ones. If you do mean the colour, black xenon is the stock one indeed: when you have them on you should see a darker area on the dark road ahead, that's how they work. And, of course, I don't presume you might think the white ones you depicted can be xenon: they are LED and halogen (DRL/side and fog lights respectively).

ah sorry about that, at the time of posting this post I didn't know which one is which as I come from vehicles that ever only use halogen bulbs.

the F20 and F30 are my very first two bmws and luckily enough, I bought them both with xenon headlights.

do you know if the F20 and F30 both use the same xenon bulbs for their headlights? I can't find any information on this

Regarding aged Xenon lights colour, it's well-known they go from blueish to magenta overtime. I can't really notice that with my 2013 ones though I use them frequently.
