Headlight Issues

Hi Everyone,

First post for me.

Since the weather has cooled down, starting to get a LOT of condensation inside the offside headlight.

I’ve read a lot of posts saying the seal is the common issue. As that’s not a job I could do myself, I’m hoping to try everything else first before shelling out the cash to get it done.

I’ve taken the top cap off and left it in direct sun for a few hours and it worked a treat cleaning the lenses. But a few days later it’s back.

I’ve seen on some other posts that the parts diagram that there’s a “Repair kit headlight 63117296902“ which COMPRISES
Headlight cover
Ventilation grommet
PT screw

Is there a vent on the halogen F20 headlights? I’ve googled it a lot and can’t seam to find the answer.

Any other tips for fixing the issue?
Thinking some of those silica bags in the access hole in the front wheel arch?

November 2011 F20 1Series

Thanks in advance
Paul
