The 3.0 326hp version may be interesting and 4 doors.... Not sure I like the back though.

I like the head lights, but reckon the grilles are too small. Back end is shit house.

I have my doubts. The rear roofline looks to low to allow for humans to sit in back seat. That could be a problem with a 4-door. The X-1 was one way to do that. This looks like the opposite extreme. Hopefully they figure out the right balance. I definitely think the hatches will be coming to the US as soon as they resolve the "bigger, but not too big".

not bad; I hate the way the current hatch looks on the rear but this 2012 rendering looks great. The front definitely is taking in the 3er coupe and X6 flaring, which I approve of, but I really don't like the lower grill that stretches across its face (not the kidney grills).

I'd like to know what they have changed with the engine to coax the extra 26hp out of it. If it's just ECU tuning, then who cares, if they put bigger turbos or did something to increase tunability past the current hp levels...

Yep, I bought my 1 thinking I was getting a collector item with the cert books. Turns out in Canada at the end of a 3 year lease, its not common sense for BMW to provide a 10$ piece of paper that will neat them the residual purchase price as profit and off of their inventory books. So they want to keep the car, then I will return it then and get this new 1er and this time a 135i instead.

Eeeeeeeeasy, they just took the x1's head lights and the new 7 series tail lights and threw together a coupe and hatchback around it
