Just an update of the build progress of my F20 M Sport.

I was originally told that the build week was week 24 (w/c 11th June - this week)

21/05/2012 - Order Placed
29/05/2012 - 1200 - Scheduled for Production
02/06/2012 - 5055 - Confirmed by Production Control
13/06/2012 - 5200 - Paintshop Start
14/06/2012 - 8200 - Released to Carrier
20/06/2012 - 9610 - Awaiting acceptance at the port (Germany)
21/06/2012 - 9620 - At Sea
23/06/2102 - 9650 - Arrived at Immingham (UK)
28/06/2012 - 9800 - Arrived at Dealer
29/06/2012 - Collected Car

Dealer originally said it would be here by the end of June. I hope he's right!

Exciting times! at this point i was youtubing all sorts of BMW paintshop production videos

However based on when production started, i would estimate that you'll take delivery first week of july. probably the Tuesday or Wednesday

I could cope with the first week of July, just need to hand my part ex over by the end of June as the tax runs out!

If it comes beforehand then I will see it as a bonus!

today the car is at status 8200 - Released to carrier. A massive jum from yesterdays staus (Paintshhop).

Getting closer, looks like end of June is looking quite promising

Have you downloaded the owners manual for the F20 and read it? It is available online in PDF format in German. I did that while waiting for the car to arrive.

I'm not sure there are many things I don't know about the car . I had an E87 for nearly 3 years and am a BMW-driver for 10. And I am gathering information about the F20 since I "reviewed"/testdrove it back in september on the day it got released .

I email my dealer every day or so and he checks the system for progress.
