get your trunk lid checked in the first place.
it's a common problem on c segment cars. it could be your cargo cover too. other problem could be your back seats. if you have folding rear seats you can apply some lubricant on their locking points / panel that they rest. |

Pretty much every hatchback develops some flex in the rear boot at some point I imagine. It's just due to the rigidity of the car.
That said I've heard some rattling that is caused by improper seating of the boot cover. |

have you considered removing the boot shelf and putting it back again?
one of my window seals kriiik kriiiked or atleast made a similar sound until ive had it replaced, try inspecting the seals of the boot/back half of the car. (the seal creaks happened on bumpy roads or when escalating hills and going down slopes but only at the beginning.....they did not make any sounds when braking though....ofc expect when i was breaking on bumpy roads then yes they did make a sound)

door seals are my second problem, driver one squeaks alot and stops when I drop a window a bit.
Today I drove the car with boot open and sound is still there, so its the suspension related or brakes I dont know. It's loud pretty much and happens mostly after the braking or sometimes over bumps. recently I addes Eibachs on my car and visually rear suspension is like brand new? |

mister luger i have made a topic about the window seal creak
http://f20.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1413231 i have had this problem myself and sadly there was not much else i could do besides changing the window seal....mine did look gasly....you can try the solutions given to me by the other members...they might work...and if not then the last solution would be changing the seal

Have the same issue in mine, but behind the left rear seat. i think is something flexing between the trunk and the rear window. I've dismounted everything, running the car without plastics, covers, moquettes etc. The crack is still there, but honestly, now I don't mind it anymore.

Boot Cracking
I have got exactly the same problem on my F20!
I have had it checked several times by BMW, once it was gone after my dealership applied lubricate on the door seals - it was gone, but came back after around a 1000km. It really sounds and feels like the whole trunk part is nothing while driving on a bumpy road! Has anybody of you found a solution to this?
