Wee scratch
Hey Guys,
So discovered this mark yesterday while washing the motor. It's not that bad really but the perfectionist in me thinks otherwise! Any have any recommendations on how best to smooth this out? I reckon if I could buff it down nice and smooth it would basically be invisible. No idea who it happened. Came back to the car after lunch and spotted it. Its quite low down (M Sport). Just to the left of the right hand fog light.

Hi!! I have an absolute similar scratch. Can't think of any incident, too. Was just there one day...
I was told it coult be a biker with his pedals but I don't believe. I cna't imagine how this happened... I asked about smart repair but I was told that I have to invest about 200€ |

Ouch!
Yeah I was thinking a touch up kit would do the job but the problem is how rough the mark is around the edges. Trying to find a way to smooth it out first before applying the touch up.

Classic scuffs when some other road user has nudged up against you when parking / manouvering. The soft water based paint is easily damaged unfortunately.

Plus with Alpine White on black plastic parts it's so visible
I had one on my M-sport bumper; I just used sharp knife to smooth the surrounding paint, touched it up several times with original AW primer, then used very fine sandpaper to smooth the entire area and finally touched it all up again with the original clear coat. Looks good!

Yeah, I am somewhat lucky that it isn't very visible on the mineral gray.
Plan is to touch up with the touch up kit and use a polish to smooth it out. I've been recommended something like this

UPDATE
Just an update,
Was in at the dealers picking up a Y Cable and showed them. The salesman Ian got the valet guys to touch it up for me. No charge.

I'm guessing the touch up kit is only as good as your method.
