Arrow F20: Yellow warning light and noise when switching off

Good morning,

Since last evening, the engine yellow light on my 2011 1 Series F20 has been on. This morning I noticed a strange noise when turning the engine off. I am attaching audio. Do you have any idea what it could be? Thank you :\

Hello,

You should have fixed the faulty link by replacing it (edit your post). Unrelated links aren't welcome on this site: https://f20.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1935930.

Regarding the yellow light. Yellow means non-critical, just a warning, it would be red if severe. And there should be a corresponding Check Control message from the onboard computer.

A "Good-bye!" in engine language? To me it sounds like some vibration: the turbo shield? Also, it should be beneficial if you disclose what engine you have.

So I guessed it correctly from the sound (a diesel, not the model). It sounds nicely/smoothly when running - this seems important. Regarding diesel shut down noise here's the only one I saw/recall mentioned so far: https://f20.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1335471.

Go into the I-drive display and view the description for the warning.

Also have some turn off the engine whilst you listen to it to try to locate the noise.

Unfortunately there's no warning in the display.
