Has anyone got a news regarding to recall?

I dropped in the dealership to exchange winter tyres.
The service man checked my car detail and he said to be that mine is listed in FEM recall.

Has anyone heard any news about FEM recall?

Yes I have heard about this from babybmw.net and a guy on that forum works for BMW and has confirmed my car is due a software update after I provided him with the last 7 digits of my VIN.

I have emailed my dealer to say that I think I require an update but have yet to receive a response.

I received an email from the dealership. He said this recall is a minor one so the company has not written to me this situation. I do not know exactly but the other dealership said to me this software update will fix the over-volatage to Front end module.

Software update is to fix problem with windscreen wipers. Using the wipers can cause an over-voltage which can damage the FEM

Interesting. When we bought our 11-month old 120d Sport in September, the fold-in door mirrors function didn't work during dealer hand-over, nor did some other wiper function - it was diagnosed as a faulty FEM module, which required a new part from Germany and a day for them to program it up. Hence delivery took a week more than expected. Looks like a weak point on the F20...
