Blown n55 + Wrecked car theory?
Ok long story short I exploded my engine (track day boosted engine i think i starved it of oil). My mate has recently wrecked his car which he bought back off insurance company. The other factor in this equation is I live in a pretty rural area of Australia and dont have easy or affordable means to code his engine to my car. He also has a lot of cool options i never got like sport steering 6wa cluster nbt nav.. From what i have read i could potentially swap HIS FEM keep his keys and swap all modules relating to his vin.. so hypothetically my car which is white would “think” its his car which blue? Im asking because if this is plausible this will be very affordable way for me to get back on the road. Our cars indeticle build year.
Any advice info on this would be greatly appraciated! |

Interesting...
I think it's possible but takes time, LOTS of time. To put it simply, here's the step: 1. Swap the Engine, might as well including the Tranny. 2. Swap the DME, EGS. 3. Swap the FEM. 4. Code all the "small" module to be same as the donor ECU and FEM vin Are you really going to do this? T
