Talking Upgrading maps on F21 m140i NBT EVO + iD5

Hi All,

This is my first message here, for my first BMW bought just a bunch of days ago

I am trying to update my nav maps, that seems to be from 2016 as stated from the nav menu:

HTML Code:
Road Map EUROPE EVO 2016-2
but having an iD5 PRO EVO nav seems to make the update process a little bit tricky.

As I understood, I would need an FSC code and the map files loaded on a usb stick.
Is there any lifetime FSC collectable or any simple way to update with the latests maps?

Do you recommend softwares like Hu Tools or similar doing this thing? Do I need special cables / tools?

Thanks!

Try this thread

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=949582

Shaun can provide FSC codes for some cars/systems.

It depends if you have valid subscription for the maps. You can send me your VIN to my PM and I'll check it for you.

Or buy a Map update? Your questions makes me sure the result is in the end is a failure. Or better install a Andream MMI box and you have the latest maps for free, and a much better product than the lousy BMW navi. Watch out for
internet scammers!!!

I have a usb stick formatted to fat32 but only a MacBook. If I load a map onto the usb stick via my Mac my car does not recognise USB stick.

Any help will be much appreciated.

It is very complicated to update the map without paying. I am actually trying to update mine, put the wrong code and now I don't even have the old map.
Navigation is disable until I enter a good code.

If you are not too much into technology, knowing how to install & debug stuff, I do not recommend to try.
For now, tutorials are pretty rare, but you can follow thread here https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1456836 and a user shawnsheridan seem pretty active here.
