BMW ConnectdDrive in new country
I just moved my M135i from Dubai to Prague, Czech Republic and I cannot get connecteddrive turned on. The issue is the car is registered to the Dubai dealer. The Czech BMW group refuses to change the country of my vehicle because they told me "it's too old and not compatible" The dealer in Dubai can't believe it and will go directly to BMW Germany to figure this out. Anybody out there hear of the 2014 now being too old and incompatible????

I am not sure if this is the same issue, but lots of "older" cars use the 3G network to connect, and the 3G network is being switched off in some countries now. That means that many cars will be offline. Some of my friends have this issue with the BMW i3, and the Norwegian dealer also has no fix for this.

Found out why
I found out through BMW that the 2014 has the 6AA and 6AB options and now you need 6AC and 6AE for ConnectedDrive to operate. There is no upgrade capability in Czechia. My system still works in Germany, which is <200 km away! I sent a message to ConnectedDrive Germany to see if they will turn mine on but no answer yet??
