They better get it right because Mercedes hit a grand slam with the S-class coupe and convertible. If the 8-series is going to be a re-hashed G11 then we will have a problem on our hands.

I truly hope that lineup allows for dropping 200-400lbs in weight across the board. With the investments in the CF space that the Quandt family has made, I wonder if they are primarily in it for supplying others to satisfy shareholders or to innovate/reduce weight at BMW.

There's another huge gap above all of those.

I have high hopes that the next gen of i8 or i8 derivatives fills that...
