Confused - Do I have the Connected Drive?

Hi all,

I'm confused. Hope someone can help.

I have a 14 reg f20 m sport. I stupidly opted for the base spec. No optional extras. Regretting that decision deeply now.

Anyway, I got a BMW welcome pack sent through the post which came with a what looks like a credit card sized sim. Surprised to see though that was no explanation in the pack about what this is. I've heard about the connected drive and wondered whether this is something available to me despite the base spec I have?

Also, I've heard you can get an app that controls the locks and lights on the car. I downloaded the mybmw app bug it's asking for a login but how do I register?

Surprised this is all so cryptic from a brand like BMW.

Any help much appreciated.

Dave

Connected drive is a module called 6NR. If you have it you can see connected drive menu in your iDrive system.
Connected drive is only available on professional system than business. Easy to find out
