First F20 M Spotted
This is going to be very unexciting news for those of you from the UK or Europe but I spotted my first F20 M Sport in Sydney today at the BMW dealer in Chatswood. I haven't seen one on the road yet - in fact I've seen very few F20s at all.
I stopped to have a look and from the outside the car looks similar to the one I've ordered - 125i, Estoril Blue, xenons. Anyway, it's nice to finally get some idea of what I've ordered |

So far I have seen not a single F20 M on the roads, just 2 at dealers. And I am somewhat closer to the source . In tomorrow in 2 weeks from now, I'll see one very close, and take it home

Here in Oslo I see several F20 each day, seems to be a quite popular little car. And more and more M-sport. Black, silver and white count for like 90% of all F20.

So I couldn't resist and popped into the dealer this morning on the way to work. This was partly to try out the sports seats as I was a bit worried after comments in another thread (I'll update soon) but also to have a good look.
The estoril blue looks great. I sat in the car - you certainly sit lower and there's less head room vs my current car (Golf VI) but that's because it's more like a five door coupe than a hatchback IMHO. I really like the driving position through - feels much more 'sporty' than the Golf. BMWs certainly are more of a driver's car - my Dad used to have a 335i M and that was the same. The sales guy told me that they received 3 x 125i in the first shipment late last week and have sold 2 already. This is the last one left and has quite a few options (they want $69k for it). Anyway, it's available if anyone is in the market for one and doesn't want to wait. It's not listed here but I notice there is a used one for sale already: http://bit.ly/L68xH1 Last edited by dubman; 06-21-2012 at 06:17 AM.. |

I drove past a dozen F20's on the way back to Kent from Chester at the weekend.
They were all White, Silver or Black and mainly Urban with a few Sport, no M Sport yet |

Hi Dubman
Like you I ordered my M Sport without having seen one in the metal (only the brochure and the on-line configurator) and having taken delivery in March I am still thrilled with it as I am sure you will be with yours; Estoril Blue is fab. To date I haven't seen another M Sport on the road here in Newport South Wales UK. |

'OMG' Just saw it again, It is a Black F20 M sport with quad pipes M1 style diffuser in Carbon fibre getting around Brisvagas. Who said that Fararri was better looking. No Phone handy and I was going a different direction. Will keep a dig camera with me from now on. I am still happy with the 125i Estoril blue on order, but might have to consider the pipes

By the looks of this one it is custom made. I suspect it is probably owned by someone who works for a custom panel shop and has used a M1 diffuser insert in the bottom of the F20 skirt and fitted the pipes.

I also could not resist popping into Chatswood today and the estoril blue 125i looks stunning. There were a couple of other colours on show but that blue has to be the pick of the bunch..
My crimson red 125i arrives in Sydney on 1 July (according to the shipping tracker) and I am hoping i will still be happy with the colour. There is no m sport available in the red which i feel a little gutted about plus i regret not ordering xenons already!! Still got a few toys in the HK sound system, prof nav, enhanced blue tooth etc and I need to remember the car is really for the Mrs!!! I think we will be seeing a few f20's on aussie roads in the next month or two. I hope the hype is all worth it when i get behind the wheel. |
