on other news, finally was able to convince myself to not be a dick and meet julia today. plan was to ghost and move on but it's not really who i am (though still i stand by it being the norm among my peers today)

if she is really into you, spending time with you when you want nothing from her will only make her miserable. honestly, ghosting her would probably be better on her in the long run than continuing to spend time with her. if you arent gonna tell her straight up that you dont want to see her then that is really your only option.

side note, went on my first date with a black girl on saturday. also my first time making out with a black girl haha. normally, im just not really into black women but this girl was legitimately beautiful. gonna see her again on thursday.

i told her straight up that this wasnt going to work bc i felt like she was looking for a relationship when i wasnt looking for one, and her "okay yeah deal" was more of a "i'll agree to be grownups about it" than being enthusiastically down

i honestly feel like ive played my cards, if she hits me up after this i'm not responding. if she doesnt the problem is no more

also - congrats on the weekend, ive always had that in mind but never really ran into one where i felt like itd be worth my efforts, i just am not interested in black women :I

This right here. When I started dating again after my divorce, I found out early on that sometimes you have to be "ruthless" to a point and straight up tell them no.

The first few times I went out with people I wasn't looking to get back into any type of relationship. I just wanted to have fun. But some of them get so emotionally attached so easily.

I first I tried to be the good guy and was very subtle about it. But that ended up blowing up in my face when I had one woman just show up at my house for no reason...and I had never had her at my house before.

That was the end as my daughter was with me at the time, and it really pissed me off as I never had my kid involved in anything with my social life in regards to dating.

After that, it was much easier to tell them this isn't going anywhere as you get better at doing it without feeling bad.

My friend told me that I have been a huge sleep-talker during the last week. The context is that I won the lottery and caught the flu and have been taking the usual suspects, Mucinex, Robitussin, etc. and normal care and feeding. The kicker that she shared is that the conversations are all very technical, detailed, and involve me demonstrating a device or system and even discussing Formula One. All very mundane. It's been very disconcerting for me but she's gotten a pretty good laugh about it because she says it proves that I don't have a dark soul or creepy sub-conscious. I'll take that as a win. Amirite UncleWede ?

Any thoughts?

Talking in ones sleep can be dangerous business. The ex-wife once told on herself concerning her extramarital affairs by this manner. I had the guys name, where they were located and a rough time frame by her mumbling in sleep. Took everything I had not to wake her but the information just kept coming. I was upset about it at the time but it's kinda funny to me now.

So true. Even though I have been re-married for 8.5 years, I'm still afraid that I may mention a name in my sleep that I shouldn't!! Even though it's my past...I could see her asking why I may be thinking about it.

Same, my man.....same. I have done some deplorable things to some very undeserving young ladies. Those prim and proper types where always my favorites. The looks on their faces while having some of the things done to them that most only see in adult films. The greatest is when they called and wanted more. Sometimes I think to myself what their lives are like now. Are they married to someone who can satisfy them or even come close to doing the things I've done to their sweet innocent wives.

......then again, what do I know of encounters of the ladies that I have been with? All interesting nonetheless.
