Not a popular conclusion around here but I concur.

For the Checo Perez haters out there some red meat to keep you going.
Perez feels mid-year testing would have changed his season
“It would have been a lot different, yes,” Perez said. “Obviously, these days you don’t have any testing and then in the testing you are so restricted with the things you can play around and with the time and the tires.

“But I think overall I’m grateful for the difficult season I had because it taught me a lot about the car, about the philosophy of Red Bull, understanding a lot more the concept of the car and I really hope that this will pay off next year.”

While wishing such a chance had come earlier in the year, Perez – who completed 117 laps and was fourth-fastest – said the extra track time in RB19 has provided plenty of clear indicators of areas he can improve over the off-season.

“It’s been dominant for Red Bull, yes, but it was quite tough for me. I’m sure we’re going to have a great car again next year, hopefully a little bit nicer balance on my side and hopefully we can keep this domination going as a team.”

How well did Verstappen's 2023 F1 season stack up against some past greats?
That Verstappen on his own matched the McLaren’s tally from that year of 1003 laps led in a season – the earlier effort being shared between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost – shows just how dominant the Dutchman has been, but also highlights the performance advantage that the McLaren had back then, when it led 1003 out of 1031 laps. That’s an astonishing 97.3%.
This year, Red Bull led 1149 out of a total of 1325 – or 86.7%. And Verstappen raced every single one of the total, leading 75.7% of them single-handedly.
Verstappen scored 575, or a stunning 92.7% of the total possible.
Michael Schumacher in 2002, when he scored 144 out of a maximum of 170 – 84.7% of the absolute maximum.
Sebastian Vettel came close to beating Schumacher under the current points system he fell just short at 83.6% in 2013.

Poutine in Abu Dhabi? Nah, they can't even get it right here, just 2 hours south of the Canadian border, let alone the other side of the world.

still finished 2nd in the drivers, second in most laps led, second in number of podiums, 3rd in pole positions, 3rd in fastest laps... so, "sucks" is relative.

Elliot the zero-pod instigator that missed one vital detail and of course on the unlucky 13, goes hand in hand.
