There will always be ricers, but an equal amount of people which think BMW is for ricers only (looking at all the die-hard Mercedes fans). Proper enthusiasts know the greatness of the M-division. However, the opinions are all perspective, for example I can't understand why anyone would ever buy an audi instead of a BMW or Mercedes. But of course, there are also a lot of audi fans, soooo.

M2 in September I bet. It's clearly what everyone wants to actually see. So hard to wait. I hope it ends up being worth it.

Carbon fiber in$erts that are all eye candy with zero performance value are RICE. Pure bling, even if it has BMW part #.

Audi makes a lot of very compelling product offerings.
S3 is very worth a careful look. As is R8.

When Bangle did the E85 Z4 and the 7 I thought, BMW styling had hit rock bottom. I was wrong. Really, really wrong....

Couldn't check out the X5M because they didn't have it open. Yet they had every other M car open.. Just wanted to take a look inside the X5M, stupid women at the table told me their was a regular X5 downstairs that was open. Like I gave a damn.

New X5M exhaust still sounds crappy, has a fart sound on downshifts..

lol what "performance value" is carbon fiber anything supposed to have?

While I wouldn't put them on my car, I don't think they look bad. Makes the car look more aggressive. Don't really understand what's wrong with that.

It's light, and strong, so where it replaces steel (e.g.: F80 roof), it can bring performance value.

I agree, it doesn't look half bad when you slap new CF sideview mirror covers, or front airdam sleeves, or rear spoiler over-lays.
Or just randomly plaster sheets of CF

But the "look" doesn't do squat w.r.t. performance.
If they were marketed under ///M Bling brand, I would smile, nod, and maybe take out the credit card for a few 'bling' accessories.

As an ///M Performance proposition, they are just pretty fluff.

The only Audi that is good is the R8, in my opinion (however that might be because it is the Gallardos sister). The S3 is just like any other Audi, too isolated, no steering feel and the FWD bias. I have respect towards Audi engies, especially the 4.0 liter Biturbo, a masterpiece in my eyes, better than the 4.4 biturbo from BMW and way better than Mercedes AMG 5.5 Biturbo.
