No; you said "Porsche" not "911's". In addition, that GT4 has the same 3.8 litre engine found in a 991S.

Ok fair enough... And yet we have two posts one of a brand new model and one from dubai

About sums up the level of difficulty finding one. Boxsters, Cayenne's, 911's IN MOST CASES [that part is for you so you don't go find singular examples lol ] sound bad in comparisons to most other German manufactures not even including other regions lol

Make an appointment with an audiologist. You're having trouble hearing. Off the showroom floor, ANY 911 sounds better than the sewing machine GTR. That's all I'm saying.

Sorry you never modded yours with anything other than a 500 dollar midpipe Little more to the GTR than a cobb tune and midpipe, but different strokes I guess

Don't be swayed by your brand loyalty it can cloud judgement or the desire to be a new era F1 driver and get caught up thinking it sounds like an F1 car.

They're terribly sounding cars by and large with a few people going above and beyond to make them sound better [the dubai car above]. Hopefully your GTS post is a trend of things to come for Porsche. I'm blessed having gotten to speak with the first man in history to laud over what the run-of-the mill Porsche sounds like, and am truly honored to have met such a rare individual

No brand loyalty here. I've owned BMW, MB, Vette, Audi, in addition to the Porsches and GTR. If it looks good and can perform, I like it. The GTR only hits on one of those two. I'm glad I experienced one (didn't lose any $$$$ on the 7 months of ownership) but have ZERO desire to ever own one again.

Porsches aren't first on my list for exhaust sound but they sure as hell are above the magic vacuum cleaner aka GTR.

The GTR is faster than the current GTS, no question about it. It is also quite exciting to drive in it's own right. But the GTS - especially the GTS4 - is a better DD car. And offers a manual. One may laugh on this but the 991 rear seats are more usable than the GTR's. I tried to fit my 8 year old back in the GTR with my 14 year old sitting front and there was no legroom at all. The GTS is tight but doable for a few miles. The GTS interior is nicer as well. Still I would have a GTR as well if I have a 6 car garage!

GT-R to give me instant boner. Porsche to give me a more relaxed and proper boner.

I'd take he Porsche over the GT-R since to me, the Porsche is a better well-rounded vehicle.

I drive a Camry btw.

911 all day from me. There's no denying GTRs are monsters but for my money I want something small, light, and tossable.

To be honest, I've recently just came around an brand new Nissan GT-R
( everyone here was almost getting crazy when only hearing about the GT-R, best upgrade decision blah, blah and it also made me curious so I decided to check it out)...and no kidding, to sum it up:

It really felt like an Japanese Mustang.

"It's an GT-R!!!!", some will say.

Well my answer to that is:

"Yeah so what?"...BECAUSE we drive much more refined car's, screw the power...talking about ///M, sometime's a car is more then just Power in sometime's AWD.

Yes the door's ( outter body shell ) were from aluminum, as the hood and some part's were made out of carbon.
But guy's that thing is still heavy and definately overpriced, felt very poorly made and not worth the claimed money.

My two billion little sharp cutting cents...get the 911...

LOL...that sounds better than stock GTR exhaust. I will take the sport exhaust on the normally aspirated 4S, all day over a stock GTR exhaust.

Stock GTR

That isn't 1 of 1. I just helped my good friend install the same Fabspeed Supersport system on his 991 S. It is loud as sh*t, same as the dubai video.

Here is another amazing sounding 991, with iPE exhaust. I guess this is 1 of 2...LOL.

The V6 in the GTR in stock form sounds more like a Camry V6, than a flat 6 4S with sport exhaust.

I said this in an earlier post, GTR sounds really good with full Armytrix exhaust. Same goes for the 911 with a full exhaust, it also sounds amazing. You are the only one spewing hate here.

Above and beyond...ummm no. Here is a Cayman S with a simple $1,200 Borla catback. Pure normally aspirated music to the ears.

Brand loyalty. What the f*ck are you talking about?

You are the only one in this thread spewing biased hate. Like a stubborn child who knows they are wrong, been proved to be wrong. But won't admit to it.

911, Cayman, Boxster, GTR...all sound amazing with exhausts.

I'm countering the hate with fact and humor

SO just so I fully understand your rebuttal is... An 840,000 dollar base price car

So we have
-Cayman GTS [Brand New model]
-Random Carrara in Dubai
- Your 840,000+ dollar car

Should probably help him install a turbo kit on it so he doesn't get whipped by an m4 or RCF

Both sounded bad. Worst sounding IPE I've heard you'er welcome to keep trying not sure why you continue to argue something as personal and subjective as sound but I'll wait so far we've found 3.. I'm hopeful for 4-10. In the meantime enjoy the porsche vacuum cleaner. Sounds like my M4

Porsche for me. Never cared for the way the GTR looked, the 3915 lbs. (from Car and Driver test) and don't care about bragging to friends about "destroying" other cars on a track as I head to lunch.

Agreed. Honestly don't think you really get much better than the flat 6 in any porsche especially with PSE and more so the GT3/RS.

Your reading comprehension is quite poor. Never mentioned an 840,000 dollar car.

You couldn't keep up with him around a track even if he was driving his spec miata.

You just look even more stupid, when you keep posting examples of stock Porsche's that sound better than stock GTR's.

Going to avoid poem form but a month ago I was walking towards the local neighborhood pub thinking about the end of the world.

I noticed a freshly polished, fully kitted GTR. Then I saw a 70 or 80 year old guy walking in my direction. He stopped and looked paralyzed as he gazed at the car for a few seconds. I walked by.

That old, old man must of had a lot of problems.

Can't say I have had the privilege to own either cars, but I really like the 911's styling, it's beautiful. The only comment I have about the GTR is that the interior feels very "nissan".

I'd get the 911. More classic styling, the GTR is nice but it looks so bulky and it's due for a refresh.

Or just get a GT3 and call it a day. ;-) I love mine, perfectly comfortable and has a lot of creature comforts. I had a 997 Turbo before, and it was great as well. Both very bulletproof cars. I'm a huge believer in Porsche after my ownership experiences.
