So I bought a 125i MSport and it's not bad!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I had read some really mixed reviews on the 125i in Australia. A reasonable review where they liked the steering and the way it drove. Then there was a really ordinary review where they didn't like it at all. So I was expecting it to be a pretty ordinary drive, which perhaps was a good thing, because when I drove it, I really liked it. The B48 engine and 8 speed gearbox is great. The rear bias handling is also pretty good and overall I think it's a great package. So why is it so unloved? |

I think the Bridgestone runflats on the test car do a lot of damage to the steering feel. Replace with non runflat Michelins, and the steering is nice. The balance is slightly too biased towards understeer with the 245 rear tyres. A square setup works better. I have been thinking about getting a couple of extra front wheels for the purpose.
