MUCH better front fascia. Nobody here was opposed to a more distinctive front end, but what they gave the world is straight trash.

Those crazy fenders MIGHT be aero vents. Like each fender is a multi-panel aero vent. If they are, the car will look insane. Then the whole, coach built, can't make it with machines, starts to make sense.

I'm not a big fan of the new M4/4 series either. I think it looks great on the M3 though. This CSL grill looks even better imo

some people are confused that they never saw this car getting tested at the ring - BMW tests every car they make, on the Ring.
this car was spied testing on the ring which was never produced https://www.drive.com.au/news/2021-b...e-nurburgring/ putting 2 and 2 together, some think this might have been the test mule. but the front splitter and rear wing don't add up. who knows! ![]() |

Imagine spending good sounding car money on a bad sounding car.
Imagine that logic.

They simply don’t care. It’s lazy design. They first design a car and then someone from engineering tells them: the hood line will have to be here. And they say: Fine. And they go ahead instead of going back to the drawing board and make a design that when manufactured will look fine. They started the in-the-middle of nowhere hood line nonsense with the F Series’ 3, 5, 6 and 7 Series. They seemed to have fixed it with the G Series 3, 5, 7 and 8 Series… But after releasing the G20 3 Series with a correctly placed hood line… they go on to release the Coupe version, the 4 Series, and (apart from the monster vertical kidneys) they ruin the front end again with the in the middle of nowhere hood line. And finally we have the new 7 Series…. which is also is a step backwards. After the F01 7 Series (with in the middle of nowhere hood line) they’ve shown with the G11 that they could do it right… and now they do it wrong again with the new one? The hood line makes such a difference if it’s not placed correctly! Audi is able to place the hood line correctly on their cars, so BMW can do the same. It’s a good exercise when you see pics of a cars to imagine what a difference would make if they hood line is placed in the middle of nowhere instead of just above the grille. Mods will ban him soon enough. Can't say anything critical about BMW on a BMW forum, lol.

new kidneys look better, but the those spoilers...barf. i can't decide if it looks like an inbred honda accord or if it was designed by the kid who wore a wife-beater and jorts to school and got a spoiler for his pontiac g6 from autozone.
