Question Opinions on higher spec but higher mileage m135i

Hi Guys,

Looking to trade in my Polo for something a bit more exciting and decided on an M135i but I'm at a bit of a dilemma. The few cars I've narrowed it down too all have similar mileage but lower spec and one has higher mileage but a much better spec.

These 2 are higher mileage but better specs

These 2 are lower mileage but have less extra specs.

I only do around 5000 miles but wondering if anyones got any thoughts on whats best or how well this cars tend to hold up going into the higher mileage?

Thanks,

Sam

Well, the N55 is generally quite reliable however it isn't headache free from what i know. To be honest i would definitely go for an LCI model so 15/65reg+ just because they look so much more modern and just better in my opinion. Also those prices for the 2 high spec cars are in similar territory to the M140i with the B58. The B58 overall i think is an improved version of the N55, if im not mistaken there are a few for around high 16s and the low 17k mark with decent specification if you are willing to cash out just a little more for a large benefit. However, if you prefer to stick to the m135i i would definitely get an lci and out of the 4 examples you sent the 65 reg white one looks to be the best. Personally, i would wait until you found something with around 40k or under just to be safe and also, most of these cars have had modifications done to them which may suggest that they were from fellow petrolheads, while that may have its benefits, its also best to be careful as they can often be in the hands of owners who think they know it all and thrash them around and toss on a couple cheap mods so i would approach with caution. The best thing to do if you are uncertain is to wait as this is a big purchase. Hope i helped a bit and hopefully you can get the best deal out there!
