i will find a solution to this and if not then teflon tape it is then!....although i cannot understand why this problem exists only at the drivers door.....

we ought to also take into consideration the fact that the car is a 2013 model and this started happening only since last year :-o :-0 :-o

I had the same squeaking sounds from driver's and passenger's window sills.
I applied the Gummi Pfledge and 2 months now everything is still back to silent.

Fix

I've encountered this many times. Best method to get rid of the sound as a first step would be using prepsol on the felt tape side of the door seals on each door. Then applying silicon spray on the same area. This is usually the first step to identifying if your issue is severe. Then i would go on the bouts of applying teflon tape on the inside of where the felt tape on the door seals meet up. If that doesn't work, door seals is the way to go. Visit your dealer first before any of these steps as it is a warranty claim.

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...f20/1VnYHHwRCw

this is the apparent repair instruction

i have recently acquired the bmw silicone remover concentrate and the bmw gummipflege and will try those first before buying a tape you use to fix a hose..... 3m 5425 teflon tape
Anyways i will succeed in this battle against the rattle...i have tried many things including listening to radio, which is pretty effective but we shall not concede defeat!

Why? Just as much as the bodies. The point is F21 have frameless windows, not the gasket.

And, by the way, BMW sell F21 only in a (very?) few countries these days. They want their customers to suffer.

Same issue here

Good day, first post ever, so hello.

I have same problem, not isolated in one door, but to all 4 door, F20 118i LCI.

Car is 3 months old and same squeak and creaks all over, took it to the dealer, and they advice about the dust and dry of the seals, first time they cleaned and apply a product, issue gone for a week.

Second time now they mention that this is a known-issue and will replace the doors seals under warranty. Hope this fix it definitely the creaks.

I have also changed the seal and the noise was gone for half a year or so and then it came back, will try a new method using a nice cloth tape to see if it would make the creak go away and if its sturdy enough it could be a better solution than the 150 usd teflon tape that btw uses, and if it doesnt work then teflon tape is the last option.or changing the seal twice a year...

Gummi Pflege works fine, but just for 3-4 days, then the noise is back again. It drives me crazy. Is this a premium car? Shame on You BMW - This is really unacceptable and I am not going to put any tape on my car. I have just ordered a set of 4 new gaskets and if that wont help i swear to God I am placing an order for Tesla and will say Aufwiedersehen to German cars

Only thing besides the tape that you can use is the silicone remover concentrate....quite a shame....i have found out from a buddy of mine that contaminants from the pressure wash gets between the seal and the body of the car....(on an f16 :-O ) so you must either wash it at low pressure of just reapply the silicone remover every time you wash it.....
