Scammed by Seller
I purchased a set of tires from a Canadian seller with WA address. He somehow assured me that I should pay the money by chosing the "gift" option of paypal and save on the 3% fee. I did pay the $800 as a gift!
He never shipped the tires ....and now I am not able to contact him He is Canadian but has a verified paypal WA state mailing address.... What are my remedies? Thanks in advance |

I think this is pretty obvious....dispute paypal, then dispute credit card.
You're a fucking dumbass for doing the gift thing with those questionable aspects though (Canadian seller with a US address). The fact that you said it's a gift probably means you're not going to get a dollar back though. Sorry not trying to be a dick here, but you should probably already know some of these basics at this point in your life, and if not use this as a lesson learned |

You can't use a credit card when you pay as a gift if I remember correctly
Only bank transfer or paypal balance I always do my transactions as gifts, whether I'm buying or selling something Then again I have a lot of iTrader, crap load of posts, and attend several meets so people know who I am

Why everyone assumes that the seller is a member on this site? OP's post never mentions anything about it.

Seller is a member on this site but I paid using my paypal balance. I have his address so I was thinking of filing a small claims court against him but I want to give him appropriate oportunity to respond but it has been a week and he has disappeared. I will give him another week before posting his name. Thanks everyone, I was an idiot that I paid as a gift!!!

FYI, these things don't get any better or easier w/ time. If you're going to act on this (paypal or cc), you'd better do it now.

For the 10th time, POST HIS USERNAME. It is not normal to take money during a sale and not respond to the buyer. I repeat his actions are abnormal and mimic those of a scammer. You were scammed. POST HIS USERNAME.
