Sports display activation
I own a F20 118i with 170hp. I tried to activate the sports display with Bimmercode. The sports display is visible on the display but not working.
Is this hardware limited or do I need to code-in something else? |

Well, don't they warn you (https://bimmercode.app/cars/f20/, "Sport displays"): "Please note that in some cars the engine control unit does not transmit the required values to the headunit and in this case the Sport displays will be displayed but remain functionless."?

The 116i might have it available in the iDrive menu (although I barely recall this could be a powerful versions feature only: 120d, 125i, M135i ). That is, a head unit retrofit issue. Also, mind your HU type: https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1083314.

There is a 'sport display' option in the idrive menu but they don't work on my 116i f20 N13, just see the display and no indicators. It is due to the dme not sending the data I'm told so no way to code it.

Why would the size of the display make any difference? Why would BMW just not have removed the 'Sports dials' option from the menu if they didn't work on a 6.5" display? |
