Winter Tires BMW OE "Star Marked"

Been doing some research tonight and I haven't found a definitive answer - do winter tires (Eg Michelin Pilot Alpin 5) also come in a "star marked" BMW OE version? Based on not finding any reference to such tires, I'm thinking not - but was wonder if anyone had a definitive answer?

About to pull the trigger on new winters for my M550i, and I remembered reading about how the PS4S* was significantly better than the non-star.

I bought a set of winter tires/wheels for my Z4 this past winter, directly from BMW. The tires are Continentals, but I don’t recall if they have a star or not. I’ll check tomorrow and let you know.

I bought my set of original BMW winter wheels from an official BMW dealer in 2013 and no, the tyres (Nokian Hakkapeliitta R runflat, made in Finland) weren't star marked (unlike the factory Bridgestone Potenza S 001 RFT).

I would venture to say there are no OE winter tires. It really does not make sense given the low quantity of tires that would be needed during the "winter" season.

Except for all the summer tires installed on many BMW cars in winter climates…

Thanks both! Much appreciated. Living in a region that requires winter tyres (both legally and practically) it would make sense if they did! But obviously we are the minority of regions.

I live in a region like that and I don't really I don't see the point of OE tires. Just buy winter tires that are good?

Yes they do.
Go to Tirerack, search for tires for your car, choose the stock diameter, as winter tires usually are smaller, filter for winter. Look for BMW Star.
