...because my employer just announced that they are giving a rather generous surprise COLA to everyone starting next week.

They are also re-instituting at least a 5% retirement match as well. Not quite as generous as the double-digit match that I enjoyed pre-COVID, but better than the 0% match we've had for the last two years.

Looks like I'll be able to afford the name brand macaroni and cheese boxes again!!!!!

Funny story. One of my racing buddies gave me a case of Kraft mac and cheese as a car-warming gift when I bought the Audi, so that I didn't have to eat the store brand to make the car payments.....

Beautiful day weather wise. Closed the clinic at noon to allow the staff an early start to the Canada Day long week-end. My partner was already on vacation and I stayed behind for a couple of hours to chart and prepare for next weeks appointments.
