My LSx Swapped E36 M3 Picstures & Quick Video
Well finally got the M3 LS1 swap finished and down in Florida, and felt great to rip around down here and figured I might as well post some pics.
I still have a lot to do, but for now here are a few pics and 2 quick videos. Working on a full "production style video" with some artistic shots and action stuff. No editing, no filters, right off the camera just added logo,. Engine Specs LS1 out of a WS6 with about 38k on it. Cam is an EPS (Engine Power System) 236/246 its fairly aggresive, but perfect for a light car. Long tube headers by vorschlag (which are a bit low) Exhaust is Y pipe into the Borla M3 exhaust I had on prior LS6 manifold and mild tune from Race Proven Motorsports LS7 Clutch Intake I'm still working on. Puts out 416 whp and 389ft lbs tq Videos. Open headers Idle Video Quick walk next to idle video with exhaust (better on a computer) Thanks for looking!!

This makes me miss my old LS1 camaro, I've never owned an engine that responded so well to modifications. Awesome project, congrats!

How much did the whole swap cost you if you dont mind me asking ? I've been thinking about putting an LS into a E36 shell as well just for a track toy.
Thanks |

why you are you shopping on ebay !?!?
LS1Tech is the best source for anything LS1/LS2/LS3 related items.... and this is just on the first page !!!! LS1 with 110K miles for $1200 (you could have put a brand new rotating assembly in this thing and STILL saved money from buying a used LS1) http://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-clas...-ls1-sale.html LS1 Longblock with 99K miles for $1500 http://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-clas...-pull-out.html paying more than $2000 for a used LS1 is asinine, especially since you can find them all over god's creation. hell, I just threw an LS1 away in my trash can at work that just randomly appeared out of nowhere - that's how easy they are to find.... and here's an LS1 and T56 combination selling for $2300 !!!!! http://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-clas...t56-setup.html I can go all day....... |
