Auburn does look terrible but Ole Miss lost it more than Bama won it scoring only 10 points with a supposed high-power O. Bama looks real vulnerable this year but honestly Georgia doesn't look all that great either.

OSU wow just wow. Looking back from later in this year they may point to this game as when the team gel'ed as the springboard to the National Championships.
No one looks great to be honest. By now there are usually a couple teams that look unbeatable.

Not sold on OSU, they could have easily lost that game. McCord is a major downgrade from Stroud. 6tds in 4 games is below average, especially with their first three cupcake games. Giving up 176 rushing yds 5.5per to ND, not promising. It will come down to those Penn st and Mich games. Last game of the year, on the road at Mich...tough.

SEC does look mid this year. Georgia not the same team as last two seasons. Bama defense finally woke up against Ole Miss, Milroe needs reps. Is it time for a none SEC National Champion?

Wondering if NIL is having much bigger impacts than envisioned so soon. After all teams used to have holes which are exploited in game matchups and with NIL those holes are filled more easily or at least patched up with potential quality backup players from top recruiting schools. Another words, a leveling of the playing field.

I think the transfer portal and one free transfer rule (without sitting out) is more likely a bigger influence. Of course that is influenced by NIL as well, but the ability of kids to move around like never before helps bring more parity and makes it tougher to stash talent for 2-3 years. FSU would never be where they are without the portal based on their recent HS recruiting and Miami has used it well this year to fill in gaps and turnover the roster faster than through recruiting alone. See also Colorado and, going the other way, Clemson, where Dabo seems to want to wish the portal away.

I'm surprised the Bama 3rd+ stringers arent moving more in the portal. Some quality players sitting on the bench on that team and some others as well. Transfer portal and NIL is one reason I really think Saban is seriously considering retirement. What he based his empire on is changing.

We got a starting G and backup WR from Bama and they have lost a few others but they have also brought in some very good players via the portal too. They tried to take our starting QB (for good reason) and overall my guess is the portal is a net positive for them because although they might lose a guy they want to keep now and then, they will bring in higher quality than they lose overall.

As far as NIL goes, Satan shouldn’t complain, other than to boosters who need to kick in more money now. Bama has been handing out bags for quite some time.

Couldn't agree more! A lot of people have written them off and still are talking shit. Same people are calling the ND win a fluke and all of that. Not sure why people have it out for OSU..I know the fan base is annoying..I am one of them but it's a constant thrashing towards OSU. Oh well, I guess you can say it's Ohio Against The World!

The game was definitely a heavy weight match. OSU made plays and ND didn't, simple as that.

Ryan Day was pretty unlikeable already so saying silly stuff like “Ohio Against the World” and looking for Lou Holtz after the game only added to that.

As far as making plays, yes they did make the key plays that mattered most in the end. Marcus Freeman and Al Golden did a horrible job by allowing ND to have only 10 players on the field in both of the final 2 plays, which decided the game. Truly astounding they did that, but they did. OSU won but they don’t look unbeatable or even as strong as they have in years past. Maybe that will change as they mature over the rest of the season, but not right now.

With this team, they need to improve every week. They do not have the fire power like years past when they can easily put up 40+ points at a blink of an eye. Seems like it's more of a struggle. But from the 1st game to the ND game, this team has improved tremendously. Week 1 Buckeyes would of lost that game without question. They have a bye week this weekend so hopefully they can rest up a little before restarting the Big 10 gauntlet that is coming up.

I agree with what you said about his comments. But I guess Lou shouldn't have poked the bear. As you could see, Day was very emotional and has every right to be and stick up for his kids. Yeah, it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way but it's good to see the emotion from the head coach. It will go a long way for the kids in the locker room.

They have Maryland in two weeks..that will be another good test as Tua's younger brother is putting up some unreal numbers.

Colorado comes back down to earth after PAC reality sets in although they can be 5-2 by the time they face UCLA another good game to watch.
Does USC play defense?

Red river rivalry game this week.

Pair of SEC showdown games. Alabama A&M, Georgia Kentucky. Georgia and Bama finally look mortal.

I saw that too. They actually received short term leases of trucks. Still get to use a truck for free, which is nice, but not the same as someone getting ownership of a truck for free.

And free insurance as well RickFLM4 . Not quite sure how I feel about all this NIL stuff. I have mixed emotions about. I sure would have loved to have a nice new truck thrown my way in my late teens to early twenties. But, some of us have to actually work for things.

Terrible night. Take a fucking knee and don’t give the refs an opportunity to make another bad call.

That is all.

I agree RickFLM4 , not quite sure what the logic was with deciding to run the ball.

GT is an improved team this year and I like the QB but surely did not expect this. Feel for the UM fans.
LSU is the USC of the east, imo. Its so hard to imagine LSU without a defense and yet that is where they're at this year. Every game is a scoring race.
