Mine cost $2,590 AUD all up including fitting. That's not cheap but as I had also purchased the extended warranty insurance when I bought the car, there was no way I was going to go with an aftermarket tuner and thereby potentially void both the original warranty and the extended warranty that I had already paid good money for. For anyone in Australia who has the extended warranty insurance and who is interested to know about coverage of the power kit, I made sure to contact the extended warranty insurer before installing the power kit. Long story short, they eventually provided confirmation that the power kit and any associated mechanical failures that occur during the period of the extended warranty insurance are covered under my policy.

I also contacted my car insurer prior to installation and provided them with details of the kit. They haven't charged me anything extra but they did need to note it on the policy. Again I wanted to make sure I got everything confirmed before proceeding with purchasing the kit.

Interestingly I can't hear any bubbling from the exhaust, even immediately after revving it hard. There is a slightly enhanced sound to the exhaust, perhaps a bit deeper at low revs and louder at high revs, but nothing major. Actually I'm very pleased with that. I was actually afraid prior to installation that the exhaust sound would be too loud for my liking as I prefer to keep the car discreet. Also I got the dealer to leave off the M Performance stickers for the same reason.

The kit took about three weeks to get to the dealer (Germany to Australia) which wasn't a long wait at all. Anyway, for anyone thinking of getting the kit who values their warranty, I think it's worth it.
What's your thoughts 'Mangusta' a few weeks in after having the PPK installed. Worth the money?

I had the m p exhaust fitted at the beginning of the month and would highly recommend it. Its a 100% improvement on the existing. It has a low bassy sound about it and some nice bubbling effects. In sport mode you when accelerate hard you get nice boom sound as it upshifts through the gears.

I had a P3 gauge installed. The highest boost ive ever get from my 125i is just over 1bar (think it was something like 1.02bar). Some website have claimed 328i run 1.25bar boost. I wonder other than the size of exhaust pipe (70mm vs 75mm), does both car have different fuel map as well?

If this is the case, can we just replace a 328i ecu on 125i?

I concure with what you said about the MP exhaust. It put a grin on your face anytime you push on the gaz pedal.
I just fitted it and not quite tested it yet. I plan to drive tomorrow though! This is quite a big improvement and inside the cabin you can feel the bass sounds through the seats.

I would say it's worth the money. There's probably a number of cheaper options out there from aftermarket tuners but I value my warranty and so don't mind paying the premium.

Mind if I ask how you went about this? I've asked my dealer and they're saying it is not available in Australia.

Just get a 114i and a tune, and you have a monster:

unfortunately that engine is now obsolete.
BMW won't be using it any of its cars, so I don't think that will be available for N13 engines

But there are plenty of aftermarket options from other sources than BMW, so the engine has tuning potential.

Are we talking about same engine?
I got my car 2 months ago - so I am talking about 116i with a 3-cylinder turbocharged 1.5-liter B38 engine.

I've been hoping for a tune via OBD which still seems unlikely to happen
Peugeot handles this engine well with 270 hp option on RCZ. Imagine the feeling of that kind of power on RWD.
I wish there was a similar tune available for N13 engines.

here in Turkey, the f20 with a 3 cylinder engine (136hp) has 118i badge on it.
I didn't know there was a 109 hp version, so I automatically assumed the 116i with N13 engine.

if all versions of B38 engines are structurally the same, then it won't be surprising to see it generating 231 hp / 320 nm torque when tuned

Peugeot had nastiest troubles with turbo Prince engines (Mini did, too?), those nearly(?) ruined the company, AFAIK. I was very concerned about the relative N13 because of that and would never consider a tune (I would not consider a non-OEM tune anyway though ).

Who has an RCZ, after all (besides more than doubtful engine, design - a "TT for the poor", "arse roof", dull interior, FWD, all they did for handling was just dropping it on the ground, it was priced just ridiculously, one must be damn crazy to consider it over the 1 Series, not even to mention the value)?
