Hey mammut! nice wheels

Im thinking/ordering a 125d M Sport. Since here(Portugal) they don't have information/prices yet, hope you can help.

For the 125d/125i the M Sport package is standard, right ? and about that double exhaust and M performance brakes ? the 18'' alloys and fog lights?

Hows the comfort of the passive M suspension ? I don't see the point of having a "comfort mode" without adaptive suspension.
The variable sport steering is worth the price ?

You got me thinking about the diesel option...i also prefer petrol, but here it costs 1.5€/liter

Thanks, have fun

dubman, i'm using the corporate program and managed to get a few k discount by bargaining hard with the dealer.

No, it's not standard but it's less expensive.
Same for the other things you named. Only the double exhaust and the fog lights are "for free".

Hm, I never looked for more comfort in my old E87 with M-Sport and the 17" wheels. Nevertheless, the new one is a little bit comfortablier. But I think, thats a very "personal" question an hard to answer generally.

In my opinion the modes are useful even without the adaptive suspension. The characteristic curve of the gas pedal is different in the particular modes.

Sport Steering: It's great but for a objective answer i think i first have to drive a F20 without.

VS.
125i Msport
... both 17'' alloys and eventually adaptive suspension and sport steering

Thanks soomwk. Just got back from the dealer, she knocked 4k off plus free servicing (I can't get corporate) so I guess that's reasonable. I'm getting just over 20k worth of options....

For Portugal the F20 (5doors) prices are:
120d = €38180
125i = €40360
125d = €43830
(it is stupid... but you can find the 125i/d information on the financial simulator of bmw.pt)

The MSport has the M383 17'' alloys as standard and the prices should be:
125i/d MSport Kit = around €2500 (?)
120d MSport Kit = €3049
others MSport Kit = €3825
120d MPower Kit = around ~€1600 (?)
(these i got from my dealer)

Gosh! Car taxes must be really high in Portugal. The 1 series is around 10k less in the UK.

Thanks Al-Muthamid!

BMW updated the .pt site, now they have prices for the 125i/d and M pack.
120d + M pack + Conf pack : 43150€
125i + M pack + Conf pack : 44029€

I think ill go for the 125i, its gonna be cheaper than adding extras to the 120d.

Nop!

In Portugal the 383 M 17'' alloys are the M standard.
The 386 M 18'' alloys are €496 extra!

I'm off to place the order on Saturday so I think it will probably be July. Impressive considering I would have had to wait for 8 months for a Golf R....

Haha! Is the m sport break option purely or aesthetics, or does it give a noticeable breaking performance difference?

Very nice.

How is the sound from the engine? I'm trying to find videos on youtube, but can't find anything of F20 125i.

What's your fuel consumption, and general feelings now after owning it for a while?
