What, you get RPM on it? All others I have heard from, can not get this, including me. Or maybe it is because you have an M135? Others I have heard from, had smaller engines.

I am using this super cheap Vgate bought on taobao.com - comes in a bluetooth and a wifi version.
The only useful thing I cannot log is oil temperature which I am ok with since I dont track the car. Engine RPM is PID 0c if that is of any use. Pretty proud of beating the factory 0-100 time according the app ; but since the 1/8 mile and max HP does not make sence - who knows...

I have not had a CEL on my car since I disconnected the JB4 but the software can do it.

I can see the rpm on my 2014 116i.
I am also trying to use an extended pid to read oil temp and pressure. So far I have found mode 22 586F gives data but have yet to convert the A & B bytes into actual pressure. (actually I've found over 200 PIDs using Torque Scan plug-in but no way to identify what data they contain) No luck with the oil temp so far. (the OBD mode 01 pid of 5C is not used by BMW) This website has some extended pids. RPM is 0A5 bytes F(low byte and G high byte) https://www.loopybunny.co.uk/CarPC/f...lter=flag_KCAN Last edited by IJO; 11-19-2022 at 01:38 AM.. |
