Be safe and enjoy. Hopefully everyone gets some decent weather and some time with friends and family.

We went to Walmart tonight to grab a few things. (Very limited grocery options here.) There was a cooler case along the aisle filled to capacity with hotdogs. Hundreds of packs. Are they really going to sell that many this weekend?

I grabbed a 4-pack of 16oz IPAs and when I needed a staff member to ok the scan I was told they were having an issue logging into the store system for exceptions, so couldn't sell any alcohol right then. There were 3 other folks in line with beer who all went, "What!?!?!?" They finally found someone who could log into the system and clear people to buy beer. But imagine not being able to sell beer on the Friday night before Memorial Day weekend? That would have been a costly error.

Grateful for sacrifices made, yes.
Enjoyed time with family grubbing hamburgers/hot dogs.

Not so sure I was happy that we have to remember all those lives lost, the sheer volume of sacrifice that was made to give me the opportunity to eat said hamburgers/hot dogs.
