M140i Ordered
Finally got round to ordering her today. Thought it'd be good to share the spec and see if anyone's got anything similar, or has any advice on the options I chose.
M140i 5 door Auto Alpine White Black Dakota Leather Innovation Package Adaptive M Suspension Reversing assist camera Electric glass sunroof Sun protection glass Seat heating Harmon Kardon Would really appreciate your opinion on the build and whether perhaps there's an important option which I overlooked? The car should be on track for July... can't wait! ![]() |

In Australia the M140i comes standard with lumbar support, motorized and memory seats in leather.
I have the 125i which doesn't have those features. Lack of lumbar support can be punishing for longer trips. Not sure if it is included in one of your existing options. Navigation Pro is standard on the M140i here too. But I reckon it's just a nice to have. The larger screen only comes in handy when you have the reverse camera and the parking sensor display side by side. In other news the 125i's camera beeped to alert me the car in front had just slammed on the brakes. And I quickly did the same. I had that warning very early on. Which was handy. And not as harrowing. Definitely a nice feature. |

So you can not have the M140i with the lighter manual sport seats with better side support than the more slippery leather seats? Leather seats would have been a deal breaker for me. Had one car with it, and never again.

Leather seats are easy to maintain, aren't they (never had any)? For a clean freak it's tempting (choosing removable/washable seat covers I was surprised to find them reviewed by leather owners
![]() Regarding lumbar support. I did consider the feature, even went out to try it (in a 7 Series). The opinions were most contradictory: people either loved it or loathed it. One person complained he'd gone for an expensive package solely to get it for his faulty back but ended up appreciating it could be adjusted is if absent (made it even worse for him). I did not find it comfortable and had to skip it utterly out of budget but now that I've improved my posture quite a bit I guess it would do... It's not really expensive so it looks safe/wise to order it just in case if possible. |

If my wife wasn't driving the 125i - I'd have gone for the manual. To be fair the start stop is less jerky with the auto than on the Golf DSG which I've driven.
Then again, I'm expecting delivery of the M2 in manual in a few months. So I've got the manual transmission covered. |

We can get a M140i with Alcantara/cloth seats, but not manual seats.

Got some good and bad news today...
Bad news first... Delivery has been pushed back from July to August ![]() The good news is... that's due to the fact that I'm getting the LCI! ![]() If anyone's interested in what the LCI brings its worth a quick google. Seems to be a new blue, a new orange, and a few subtle but effective exterior and interior visual touches. I'm sure some of you already are aware of that though. Anyone got a time machine available to borrow?? |

Ah yes, I spotted that on the configurator... rather annoyingly I picked up my car in February and now find there's a new colour I'd have loved... sunset orange I think it is, also some nice wheels, although the prices have jumped and the shadow is around £2k more on the 3 series so I mustn't complain!!

Have the same regrets - picked up the 125i in May and they just updated the LCI2 in Australia - which now comes standard with Navigation Pro instead of Business.
LCI2 also adds full LED tail lights (we had LED fronts the last update and partial LED tails - bulbs for signals and reversing) and revised backlight gauges. The M2's light grey on dark grey variant was really hard to read in some light compared to regular 1 and 2 series white on black. |
