I don't see a problem with staying in contact with an ex, as long as there is nothing going on. One of my ex's is my bookkeeper and has access to all my finances. It's not been a problem for over twenty years. We're still good friends.

I think your case is an outlier (….there's a professional reason for the contact) and so is that perspective, but every relationship defines its terms…..but if it works for you?!?? Generally speaking, I don't think it's a good idea and most people would feel uncomfortable with exes still hanging around……for the sake of just being around.

You certainly have a point. For the sake of brevity I didn't go into detail but suffice it to say that we are more friends than business associates. We do just hang out from time to time and my current GF is fully aware of our past. We all get along fine and nobody crosses any lines. Maybe I am an outlier but that just proves that it is possible.

If I had one of my ex's as my bookkeeper I would be broke. I think maybe your case is an exception to the rule. The closest I have come to being in contact with an ex is being friends on Facebook.

Got catfished for almost 2 weeks since Christmas.

Full on fake Instagram with followers, phone calls and pics in a nearby town you name it the fake person knew what they were doing. Until I found the Instagram of the person they were stealing all of their pics from. What a nightmare dating apps are nowadays.

Do people still catfish? It happened to me after the first divorce in 2009. I just stopped after about 2 weeks. I feel dating in general these days is cat fishing mixed with first date sex and then they never see or speak to each other again.
