M135i – Oil catch can and HFC
I’ve sold my beloved S2000, and am soon to be collecting an Estoril Blue Manual M135i.
I haven’t even testdriven it just to maximise my expectations and also because it’s the fact that it’s a great car and I knew I would like it. Anyway, I’ve started research on the car and haven’t found, if not missed, some information I’m after. So, please chime in fellow baby Bimmer owners. 1. High Flow Cat I’m looking to fit a HFC without a tune. Would it give CEL? It seems some say CEL won’t be an issue whereas others mention a tune is a must to get rid of CEL. 2. Oil Catch Can I’ve done a fair amount of research for a bolt-on catch can for F2x N55 in vain. I asked BMS if their catch can for E82 N55 would fit on our model. They say it won’t and added the oil lines are different for both models. Looking at the engine bays of them, I think the mounting position would be different as well. Is there any bolt-on oil catch can for M135i that can fit without having to worry about modification/fabrication? Thanks. Last edited by pcfanta; 09-30-2014 at 05:30 PM.. |

And for the cat, as long as you don't go de-cat you should be fine concerning CEL. |
