Soft top care?

I just bought a 2013 135is convertible, and I've never owned a convertible before, so I have questions about how to treat the top.

I have a small 1-car garage, and I might be able to park it there, if I clear out the garage. Until then, it will be parked in my driveway in full sun.

Is it possible to be able to park it during the day in the sun a long as I properly treat the fabric? I'd like it to last as reasonably long as possible.

Or, do I need to get some type of car cover? If so, any specific brand recommendation?

Thanks a bunch.

So far for my 2012 (I'm the original owner) I've done nothing to the top and it still looks great.
Mine is baby though. Mine is garaged and I avoid putting the top up and down all the time.
In fact my top went down in probably early May and hasn't gone up since. I just don't take it if its going to rain.
Replacing the cloth itself is expensive but replacing the mechanicals is way more. expensive!

When I had my E88, I used 303's convertible top cleaner and sealer. With previous fabric tops, including a BMW E85, I used Raggtop. Both have given very good results. I would typically apply it twice per year, making sure it was good and clean, especially with light-colored tops.

I also use Raggtop. I apply it once a year after using their cleaner. I garage my e88. I think your top will last longer if you garage it but a cover is probably better than just leaving it outside.
