F20 steptronic - very slow moving in idle

Guys, i've got a 2018 F20 with 90k kms, steptronic. Yesterday I noticed a smell like very hot metal while driving and noticed that the car barely moves in D or R on idle (without pressing the accelerator), if i'm on an incline it will not move at all, when I press on the accelerator it moves ok. Otherwise shifting is perfect, no shaking or bumping, shifts seamlessly. No warning lights are on. Any ideas?

Isn't it an apparent guess the fluid should be changed? Some even warn if you postpone that too much it can cause trouble instead of fixing. FWIW

Here are some links I found, just for example:
  1. a local discussion here;
  2. Seven Signs Your Transmission Needs to be Serviced;
  3. When you should or shouldn't change your automatic transmission fluid.

There's plenty more to find.
