Bmw smoking
hi guys my 118i auto year 2012 is smoking from time to time. i got my mechanic to remove somekind of lid from the top of the engine. in there there is a diaphram which is damaged. could this be the issue? from where i am its difficult to get this part only as they sell the whole top cover which is very expensive. i ordered one part from china and its taking like one month to come over in my country. any guys have any idea if this will make big damage to the engine if its driven in that condition until i receive the part. thx in advance

Your link doesn't seem to display, does it? If you want to attach a picture, upload it to the forum site. What you linked isn't an image file.
There are a couple of threads here mentioning this part:
Also, here is some discussion reasoning replacing this part only makes little sense and the whole cover is still the correct way to go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUHk...cb4cdlt4AaABAg. Regarding the importance of the PCV membrane do some search, perhaps: https://www.rkxtech.com/blogs/news/r...alve-diaphragm. |
